BLOGPOST 37 Planning - New Production Schedule
NEW PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
We had to create a new production schedule which would help us to stay on tack with our coursework until the deadline at the end of this month. We decided to use the double sessions for editing, film (if needed) on weekends and spend some 1hour 30min sessions of looking through old posts and completing or improving them/ editing the title sequence.
The Order of the Title Sequences - Distribution
The first film opening that I looked at was The conjuring. I found that the titles were presented as if they were in the images shown on the screen, for example; it looked as if the credit was actually in the newspaper.
The order of the credits were

Although it wasn't shown in the opening, Warner Brothers is the distribution company for the Movie.

The distribution company is New Line Cinema, and the credits appear on both black backgrounds and on moving images. It it unusual for the directors name to be shown twice but this shows the significance that that role has. Also, if a film has well known actors in, then it is common for their names to come before the actual film name, as in this case.

PLANNING - Distribution company
'SE7EN'
A film about two homicide detectives' desperate hunt for a serial killer
who justifies his crimes as absolution for the world's ignorance of the
Seven Deadly Sins. The movie takes us from the tortured remains of one
victim to the next as the sociopathic "John Doe" sermonizes to
Detectives Sommerset and Mills -- one sin at a time.
Distribution company: NEW LINE CINEMA, OWNED BY ROBERT SHAYE
Marketing tools: POSTERS, TRAILERS, RADIO, SOCIAL MEDIA.
Type of release: 'SE7EN' was released in 1995 in many areas, including Europe, USA , Asia and South America.
Format film is available in: DVD, BLU RAY, PRINT.
The box office and DVD sales: £11 434 343 in UK, January 1996. $41 062 440 in US, February 2010.
This distributor is very likely to distribute our film as we will try making our movie similar to 'SE7EN' - it's going to be a thriller and includes serial killers/stalker.

' IN TIME'
Welcome to a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop
aging at 25, but there's a catch: you're genetically-engineered to live
only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich
"earn" decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially
immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it
through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely
accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful
hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo's love becomes a powerful tool
in their war against the system.
Distribution Company: 20th CENTUARY FOX, OWNED BY JIM GINOPULOS
Marketing Tools: POSTERS, SOCIAL MEDIA, TRAILERS, ADVERTISEMENTS, TV
Social media included: OFFICIAL FACEBOOK, TWITTER
Type of release: RELEASED INTERNATIONALLY INCLUDING ASIA AND SOUTH AMERICA
Formats available: DVD, BLU RAY
Box Office and DVD sales: $12 050 368, $9 103 477
I believe that 20th CENTUARY would distribute our movie as they have been distributing many different genre movies so far, also, our plot is ineteresting and would be widely viewed.

RESEARCH- The timelines of the movies I analysed PART OF BLOGPOST 13
The timelines of the movies I analysed.
2 out of the three movies I analysed didn't contain many titles they either had a backstory shown or they showed the audience the setting.
