7a. Film production:
it shows that the less popular films create a large number of films while the most popular films only produce a limited number.
7b. Film audiences?
it shows that the audience would want to watch animation more because  if there is a lot of comedy film released and not a lot of animation which makes the audience want to see the limited genre more.

  • in 2013 15-24 year Old's made up the largest proportion of the UK cinema admissions which was 33%

6. UK films appealed most to which audience type?

  • Action films appealed most to the audience type however people in Scotland liked the drama genre more. This suggests that people in different regions enjoy different things.

  • One Direction: this is us(UK)
  • Wreck it ralph

This shows that 7-14 year olds enjoy watching documentaries of their favourite celebrity lives. Also the second popular genre is animation,. They also have a wide imagination that is brought to life in these movies unrealistically.

8.Which 3 films most popular with the 35-44 age group? Why might this be and how does this contribute to animation being the most successful genre at the box office?
  • Frozen
  • The Croods
  • Jack and the Giant Slayer
The most popular film was of the genre animation, I think this is most popular because they can reminisce about their childhood and is symbolic and can be enjoyed as family movie as at the age group they are they probably have children.

The top 5 popular films in Scotland are:

This shows that the audience in Scotland prefer action and animation as there is a lot of animation near the end of the list which shows that many people still love animation and using their imaginations no matter how old they are.
